With many corporations, the size of a past due account and their subsequent history may be a determining factor in the amount of effort placed in collecting past due invoices. Many firms view the time and effort worthwhile for those accounts that are sizable or have a significant effect on the firm; however, at some point, the amount of time and expense dedicated to this collection may no longer be economical.
